Hike Kalalau Trail

The Kalalau Trail is an 11 mile long trail which winds through several valleys, hugging the Pacific ocean along the Na Pali Coast as it goes. It begins with a gentle, two mile hike to the spectacular Hanakapiai Falls. This is an easy journey to a beautiful beach, perfect for a short day trip. Going beyond this point will require a permit, which should be reserved as much as 4 months out. The full trail will take a full day to traverse, so come prepared to spend the night. The Kalalau Trail is not for beginners, has limited facilities, and can be very dangerous in bad weather conditions. But the untouched beaches you’ll find make all the effort worth it.
